We hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend and hope they are all enjoying their extra day off today!! Please note – students do still have rehearsal tonight but it was shortened. They will rehearse from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, and they will start in the FAC. PLEASE make sure your students are hydrating themselves today. Lots of water or gatorade!! Sunscreen for later!
It’s Tag Day Time!
Our annual Tag Day is this Saturday, September 8th.
We could still use a few more drivers for this event. If you can volunteer just a couple hours on that Saturday morning as a driver to help us transport 400+ students around the city of Mentor, we would truly appreciate it! Please remember all our volunteers must be fingerprinted at the board office. FINGRERPRINTING MUST BE DONE BY WEDNESDAY.
With the school closures today, Amy Beskind is at the BOE now. Her phone number is 440-974-5201. Please call to check on the times that you will be able to be fingerprinted.
Volunteers will be receiving an email from Amy Freeman regarding Tag Day. Please arrive promptly between 7:30-7:45 am to give yourselves time to check in and grab a donut and a cup of coffee!

Friday, September 7th:: MHS vs Glenville at home! Call time is 4:30 pm. Saturday, September 8th: TAG DAY 8 am in the FAC. Wear your summer uniform!
Competition Information
Saturday, September 22nd
There has been a change in the competition venue we will be attending for this day. We will now be attending the competition held at Revere High School, NOT the one at the University of Akron. Call time nor performance time is finalized yet but you should expect an afternoon call time and an evening performance time.
OSU Buckeye Invitational, Saturday, September 29th
You should be receiving a note from Mr. Poremba regarding this event. On a general note, the game on September 28th is at Medina. We will be feeding the students beofre we depart for the game. The band will be departing for Columbus after the Medina game. We will be staying at the Embassy Suites in Dublin. Students will be 4 to a room and breakfast will be provided by the hotel. The cost for the room is $40 per student and checks can be made payable to Music Mentors. Students can start turning this in now but it is due by Friday, September 21st.
