There’s a lot going on in the next weeks…

There’s lots going on the next few weeks so I thought I’d send some reminders and updates…
There have been a few changes in the schedule regarding the week of October 28th. The final revisions are rehearsal will be Tuesday, October 30th from 2:35 – 4:30 pm, and Thursday, November 1st from 6 – 9 pm. Please make sure to mark your calendars.

Senior Night, October 26th

All Senior letters regarding Senior night have been mailed. Please make sure responses are submitted to the Survey Monkey website by the deadline which is this Thursday, October 18th. This information is pertinent to the pre-game festivities where each Senior and their guests are announced and recognized. A picture is also taken. It only takes a minute or two to complete the survey. If you have any questions regarding Senior Night, you can email Angel Yanni at secretary@musicmentors.org or Sheila Kaifesh at vp2@musicmentors.org. Schedule for the week!

Thursday, Oct.18th: Rehearsal 2:35 – 4:30 pm
Friday, Oct. 19th: NO SCHOOL! MHS @ Euclid! Call time is 4:00pm. Bring money for concessions!
Saturday, Oct. 20th: Brunswick Competition, Call time 2:00 pm; performance time approximately 7:15 pm; Students should eat before they come and bring money for concessions.
Sunday, Oct. 21st: FCMB Indoor Concert in the gym! Call time is 2 pm, Concert begins at 3 pm.

Indoor Concert, Oct. 21st at 3 pm!

Come join the FCMB in the warm, dry high school gym for their Annual Indoor Concert! What a great way to enjoy all the music they have played all season! This is great for grandparents and family who may find the football games too long to sit through. Call time for students is 2 pm. Summer uniform is worn.
This is a great opportunity to purchase your raffle tickets for our basket raffle. This gives you an opportunity to put your name on the tickets ahead of time! Prices are listed at the end of the email.
BANQUET RSVPs: We will also take banquet reservations at this time. You can pay through credit card on this day only as well at the indoor concert. Cash and checks are still accepted as well.

FCMB End-of -the-Year Banquet

Our annual FCMB Banquet is Sunday, November 11th from 3 pm – 8 pm. For our new families, this is a wonderful evening where the students get to dress up and celebrate all their accomplishments for the band season! We have a wonderful meal at LaMalfa, followed by awards and then our annual scholarship Chinese Auction! Each marcher is limited to 2 guests (due to the size of our band) and tickets are $25 each. Marchers do need a ticket as well.
Reservations with payment are due on October 25th. We will also take credit card payments at the Indoor Concert ONLY. The reservation form is linked below.

Chinese Auction

Our Chinese Auction at the banquet is our sole fundraiser for our yearly scholarships. In 2017, we gave away “10” $500 scholarships to our Senior class. This committee has been working very hard behind the scenes to solicit local and national businesses for our baskets. However, if you have business or personal contacts that would like to support the band with a donation, please contact Kim Bednarski for a donation letter.
We are in need of baskets, small and large to create our raffle baskets. If you have any that you were thinking of throwing away or ending them to goodwill – please send them our way!
Also, if you are cleaning house and find some things that are new that you never have used and want to donate for us to put in our baskets, we will take them off your hands!

Raffle ticket sales will start at the Indoor concert. Prices are as follows:
$20 for 90 tickets
$10 for 42 tickets
$5 for 18 tickets
$1 for 3 tickets
$0.50 for 1 ticket
Buying them early allows you to get your name on each ticket so it’s done before you get to the banquet.
