September 21, 2017: Thursday, Rehearsal, 2:30 – 4:30 PM
September 22, 2017: Friday, Mentor vs Brunswick, 7 pm kick – off; Middle School Night . Call time 4:30 pm (Make sure you grab something to eat before call time!)
September 23, 2017: University of Akron Competition,Call time 8:00 AM, Performance time is 1:15 pm
Scholarship Raffle Donations Needed:
This year’s FCMB Banquet is on Sunday, November 12, 2017. During the banquet, we host a Chinese Auction as a way to raise funds for our scholarships for the end of the year. We are looking for donations to place in the baskets for the Chinese auction. If you know of any business that might like to donate to our scholarship fundraiser, please use the Scholarship Donation letter located on the Music Mentors website. This letter explains that we are a non-profit, tax exempt organization, what the donation is for and how to donate. The website also has a list (Scholarship Donation Progress Worksheet) of the businesses we have already contacted and those who have donated. We want to be sure we do not approach a business multiple times. If you contact a business, please let Mary McFarland know by emailing her at [email protected] or call 440-669-9842 to help us keep this up to date. Also, if you have any large baskets, or any item’s you would like to donate, please contact Mary. Lastly, we are looking for some more volunteers to help solicit donations! Please contact Mary if you’d be willing to help make this the best year yet!

LCMEA, September 20, 2017, Call time: 4:45 pm
Come watch all of the outstanding Lake County marching bands perform for their families and friends! This is a great opportunity to see what all of our fellow schools are up to! Admission is a $5 donation for adults and $4 for Seniors and students 12 years and older. This Benefits the LCMEA organization programs. Concessions will be available as well. Music Mentors will be selling t-shirts as a pre-sale to our FCMB students. Orders forms are available below. After pre-sell, sizes will be first come , first serve at the table. Credit cards will only be accepted at the table.
For our FCMB: Call time is 4:45 p.m. Please eat before you come. Pre-sale orders are due by Tuesday, September 19th. You can print out the LCMEA t-shirt order form here.

Approximate arrival home: 4 pm
Your marcher needs to eat before they come! They should also bring money for concessions.
For those new to band competitions: There is an admission fee, concessions are available and no flash photography is permitted. Also, you want to prepare to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to performance time. It will take time to get into the venue, and walking in the seating area is not permitted while a band is performing. So you must be in the bleachers BEFORE the band is announced. Bands perform rain or shine!
