I hope you all had a fantastic band camp week!! I'm sure you learned a ton, made lots of memories and can't wait to perform at Cedar Point this week! It will be HOT this week! Make sure you are drinking lots of water ALL week!! Don't forget to eat, HYDRATE and bring your sunscreen! Speaking of water and hydration - we are asking that every band student donates 1 case of water. Thanks goes out to the Siskind's for their hefty donation of water to get us started! This water is used during the 3rd quarter at our games for us and the visiting band and at various times during the season. Best time for drop off is before a home game at the F-wing garage.
Huge thank you's go out to all of our volunteers this week: Mrs. Gommel and her crew for measuring our kids and getting them fitted for the season! Mr. Bednarski and his crew for grilling all the chicken for Wednesday's dinner. All the parents that graciously baked potatoes. And thanks to all those chairs and volunteers that came to assist with Wednesday dinner. Thanks also to Great Harvest for their donation of cookies for the band of Tuesday! Lastly, I'd like to thank Mrs. Smelcer for stepping in for me to help with section of the day pizza treat this past week!
CEDAR POINT
Call time : 7 AM, eat something before you come to school!
Attire: BAND: Come dressed in your black "Docker-like" Dress pants (NO yoga/stretch pants), red band polo, tall black socks, dinkles (or black shoes); Bring a change of clothes for the park, don't forget a change of shoes! GUARD : Come ready in your parade t-shirt, black shorts and guard shoes. Again, bring a change of clothes and shoes. (If shoes do not arrive, students will be advised as to what they can wear.)
What to bring: Bring sunscreen, water bottle for before performance, clothes, MONEY for food
MASKS are required on the buses, this is a district policy
We will depart Cedar Point at 8 pm
FORMS & PAYMENTS
All paperwork is now OVERDUE! If you are going to Cedar Point on Wednesday, you MUST turn in your money TOMORROW, MONDAY, August 9th. If you have a pass, there is a $10 fee that must be turned in! There are NO EXCEPTIONS. We are purchasing tickets Tuesday morning - there is no way to purchase tickets on Wednesday! Without a ticket, you cannot get into the park!
FCMB Spiritwear is OPTIONAL. The next and final spirit wear order will be due Friday, August 13th!
Checks are made payable to Music Mentors. Just a disclaimer, there is a $35 fee for returned checks.
