THIS WEEK IN BAND!
It was an exciting night for the CARDS! The FCMB performed at their 1st home game and our favorite football team brought us a WIN! Way to go everyone!
TAG DAY
Our annual Tag Day fundraiser is around the corner and we need everyone’s help to make this a huge success! Tag Day will be Saturday, September 18th from 8 am - 1 pm and is mandatory for our high schoolers. Your student needs to complete a Tag Day form which they will receive at school today or tomorrow. The forms will also be available here on our website later today. We are asking that every student complete the form and turn it in THIS WEEK so we can get busy with our schedules for the day FCMB - you can bring them with you Saturday and hand in to Mrs. Arslanian directly.
In addition to student participation, we will need LOTS of volunteer drivers to assist us. If you are able to drive some students to a neighborhood so they can seek donations for the music program, we would be ever so appreciative! Just complete the information on the form and go to the Board of Education between the hours of 11:30 am - 4:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You will need your Driver’s license and will need to provide your social security number. Fingerprinting needs to be done before September 10th, so please do not delay!
Middle schoolers are also highly encouraged to participate and there is a form for middle school as well. Middle school parents are also welcome to drive students as well. Just please note FCMB when you get fingerprinted at the Board of Education.
We are very appreciative of our students, parents, volunteers, staff and community for their ongoing support of the band programs. The Covid pandemic dampened our fundraising opportunities immensely last year so we need all the volunteers we can get to make this year a HUGE SUCCESS!

Monday, 8/30: Rehearsal. 6 - 9 pm
Tuesday: 8/31: No rehearsal
Wednesday, 9/1: Music Mentors meeting, 7 pm
Thursday, 9/2: 2:45 - 5 pm after school rehearsal
Saturday, 9/4: MHS @ St. Edward’s in Lakewood, call time 4 pm; students should eat before they come and bring money for concessions
