OMEA Large Group Contest is one of the largest events Music Mentors hosts. This year, Large Group, just so happens to fall on the 1st weekend of Spring Break but as they say, “The Show Must Go On!”
If you are not familiar with this event, concert bands and choirs from schools all over will come and perform 3 music selections where they are rated on their performance. Any band receiving a “Superior”, or “I” rating qualifies to perform at States to hopefully achieve another “Superior” rating. Typically, we have all our bands play but with Spring Break falling on this weekend, only Wind Ensemble will be performing on Friday, March 8th at a time yet to be determined.
However, we still need to have lots of volunteers to help us staff this wonderful event that we are very proud to host. Please consider giving a few hours of your time to help us staff this well attended event! Once you sign up, you will be placed into a position and an email will be sent to you by March 1st confirming your slot.
