Wow! What an exciting game for us this past Friday! A nailbiter for sure! But it’s a WIN! And here we are, down to our last regular home game of the season! It’s SENIOR night this Friday, the 20th! I can’t wait to watch our Seniors walk down the field and have their names called – it’s such a special night for them!

Schedule for the Week
October 16, 2017: Monday, Extra help session for pass off’s 2:45 – 3:30 pm
October 17, 2017: Tuesday, Rehearsal 6:00 – 9:00 pm
October 18, 2017: Dine to Donate Moe’s Southwest Grill (Both Mentor locations) form 5 – 8 pm. Please print flyer and help the band out and spread the word! This is a 50% profit! Moe’s flyer
October 19, 2017: Thursday, Rehearsal 2:30 – 4:30 pm
October 20, 2017: Friday, NO SCHOOL! MHS vs Euclid and it’s SENIOR NIGHT for the FCMB, 7 pm Game, Call time is 4:30 pm. Senior parents – Please remember to report to the south end of the bleachers by the South Gate between 5:45 – 6:00 PM!
October 21, 2017: Brunswick Competition. Call time is 2:30 pm and Performance time is approximately 7:15 – 7:30 pm. Please remember this is an APPROXIMATE time, please plan on arriving early to give yourselves plenty of time to get into the bleachers. Please ensure marchers have eaten before they come, have some snacks and drinks with them and have money for concessions. We are the 1st band in our division to perform and there are several after us so the students should have time to grab something from concessions after we perform.
State Marching Band Finals
We are awaiting a final time for our performance time and as soon as we receive it, it will be communciated to the students at school and parents through Music Mentors. We do know the date will be November 4th but the time has not been decided yet.
FCMB Banquet: November 12, 2017
By now you should have all received an Infinite Campus message from Mr. Poremba regarding the End of the Season FCMB Banquet. If you have not, the link is posted below. Please print out and have your marcher turn in their banquet RSVP form or you can mail it to the PO BOX by OCTOBER 26th with payment. Please note: Each marcher is limited to 2 guests due to the size of our band.
We hope to celebrate with each and everyone one of our marchers and their families and enjoy an evening recognizing all their efforts for the season!
Scholarship Raffle Donations Needed
URGENT! Lots of help is needed to make this banquet the huge success that it has been in the past! We are need of at least 5-6 more volunteers to help gather donations for our raffle baskets. Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time to help make some phone calls, maybe stop at a few businesses or do some mailings for us.
If you know of any business that might like to donate to our scholarship fundraiser, please use the Scholarship Donation letter located on the Music Mentors website. This letter explains that we are a non-profit, tax exempt organization, what the donation is for and how to donate. The website also has a list (Scholarship Donation Progress Worksheet) of the businesses we have already contacted and those who have donated. We want to be sure we do not approach a business multiple times.
