| 2026-2027 FCMB REGISTRATION This email is for all students that will be participating in the 2026-2027 FCMB – please be sure to use the registration link in this message to register for next year’s marching band season. This registration helps us develop our roster and instrumentation for the season. 2026 FCMB Registration Link Also a reminder that our music reading sessions for all FCMB members will be June 1-4 from 6-8pm in the MHS Music Wing. We also encourage everyone to sign up for the weekly emails provided by our booster group Music Mentors. These weekly emails will keep you up to date on all band activities throughout the marching band season and school year. Please visit their website for more information. Music Mentors Website We would also like to let everyone know that our boosters will once again be volunteering at the Lake County Fair and directing traffic to parking during the fair. The Fair will be during the week of July 27 – August 2 , we need as much help as we can get to make this a successful event for our boosters and the Fair. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! LAKE COUNTY FAIR – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED The Lake County Fair drew 100,000+ attendees in 2025. This brings a lot of cars to the fair ground, which requires safe parking. The Music Mentors volunteers are directing traffic and managing the parking lots for the fair. This requires many people to make this work smoothly. Please consider a few hours of your day to help with this fundraiser. There are over 250 individual shifts that need to be covered over the course of 6 days. In addition, a handful of adults are needed as leads. This position needs parents to assign positions, keep attendance record, coordinate with fair workers, communicate with the county fair chair(s), and other tasks as they arise. One or two people cannot do this all week long so please consider taking a lead or splitting a lead position with a spouse. Please remember that this benefits every student that participates in the Fighting Cardinal Marching Band. There are around 150+ students that participate each year, which should be around 200+ parents that could volunteer. We cannot do this event without the assistance of parent volunteers. Please contact the fair committee chair(s) if you have any questions or concerns. fair@musicmentors.org Please visit the below link to sign up for volunteer shifts. LAKE COUNTY FAIR SIGN-UP Presently, an incentive for volunteering for the Lake County Fair is to award students with their Pay-To-Play Mentor School fee. A drawing will be held at the end of the fair. |
