Saying good bye to the ‘20-‘21 year and welcoming the ‘21-‘22 school year!

Wow! What a year!! And we survived it!

Congratulations to all the 2021 MHS Seniors who will graduate this Saturday! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors! We would also like to congratulate our 4 scholarship recipients- Sarah Freeman, Sarah Imhoff, Lizzie Rayl & Sabrina Gorbey!
Music Mentors would also like to thank all of our Senior graduating parents who have supporting the band programs! We will miss you all and hope to see you supporting our programs when we perform! A special thanks goes out to our graduating board and committee chairpersons - Sheila Kaifesh, Colleen Beck and Matt Armstrong. We thank you for your years of volunteering!

On to 2021-2022!!

Today is the official start of the new Music Mentors season and we are so excited! So far, with fingers crossed, we will be able to resume some of our normal events for the bands, especially the FCMB! Tonight, is the first music reading session for the FCMB (including color guard and majorettes) from 6:00-7:30 pm in the FAC where our new leaders for the band will debut - Grace Smelcer, Gabe Hardman and Jack Webster.

* June 2nd, Wednesday: Music Mentors Meeting. 7 pm via Zoom
* June 3rd, Thursday: Music Reading Session, 6:00 - 7:30 pm
* June 8th, Tuesday: Music Reading Session, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
* June 10th, Thursday: Music Reading Session, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Music Mentors Updates

Music Mentors is fortunate to have some key volunteers willing to continue on this upcoming year while we get back to “normal” where we can find suitable replacements that we can train side by side during an active season. Your current officers for this year will be:
President: Angie Arslanian
VP1: Amy Freeman
VP2: vacant (for the time being)
Treasurer: Debbie Dittebrand (graduating Senior parent)
Secretary: Kary Vogel

Our committee chairpersons are:
Chaperones: Meredith Everett
Scholarship: Kim Bednarski
Service Crew: Jason Bednarski
Raffle: VACANT - need to fill
Uniforms: Carol Gommel
Hospitality: VACANT - need to fill
Webmaster: Mike Siskind

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Treasurer: We are in need of someone who is very detail oriented who is willing to step into the all important Treasurer role the following year. Debbie Dittebrand is willing to stay on this year to be able to spend ample time training our new volunteer on the various bookkeeping and ordering that needs to be done for the organization.
Raffle (50/50): Our 50/50 chairperson is responsible for overseeing the 50/50 raffle at all our home football games and our annual pasta dinner in February. This person would bundle all the tickets, solicit volunteers for each game and keep tabulation records of each game. If you are a people person, this job is for you!!
Hospitality: This volunteer is in charge of gathering snack donations from our parents and volunteers for each home game so that we can provide both our band and our visiting band something to eat during 3rd quarter. As of this time, we are unsure of the status of snacks at the games but we are hoping for the best!
